Loop handle brushcutters can be found in the smaller engine powers, generally below 35cc as an alternative to double (cowhorn) handles. They are more popular with occasional users for these reasons
- They are more suitable for jobs where the duration of cutting is limited and the machine is being picked up and put down often.
- Without the need of a full harness, they are easier to pick up and put down.
- As they are not fixed to a harness, they are easier to get into corners and under shrubs.
- They are a little lighter than double handle brush cutters.
- They take up much less room in the shed or when transporting.
