Back to Petrol powered Lawn Mowers

The SP555 V  premium lawnmower is well equipped with a range of high specification features. The new cutting technology - a patented Twinclip blade with four cutting surfaces instead of two results in an amazing cut. The first cutting edge of the Twinclip blade reduces the initial length of the grass with the second cutting edge reducing the finished length down to the desired height so each blade of grass is cut twice which helps up to 20% more grass in the 75litre box.

The Honda GCVx170 Autochoke engine along with the heavy duty Hi-Torque cone clutch transmission with a torque convertor gives easy operation with smooth acceleration through an infinite range of cutting speeds. The SP555 V has a hi-tech hybrid chassis with the durability of a galvanised and powder coated deep drawn steel cutting deck with a strong J section lip around the bottom.

Height of cut is adjusted using a single lever with 7 preset positions from 25mm to 77mm.

Supported by a 5 year manufacturer's warranty., this mowers 53cm/21in cutting width makes this mower suitable for moderate size gardens up 50m x 50m.

The engine of this machine requires SAE10w30 oil. The engine will be filled prior to delivery, but subsequent oil changes will require 0.6  litres of oil. We suggest that a first oil change is carried out at roughly 10 hours use, then on an annual basis.

We would also suggest that an annual service is carried out.

The engine is designed to run on standard unleaded fuel, but please be aware that this fuel will go stale very quickly so it is best to use fuel that is less than 60 days old or engine problems can occur.

We recommend the use of ASPEN 4 fuel as it will last indefinitely without going stale, so peak performance and starting is always guaranteed. ASPEN 4 is however more expensive than standard petrol and can be purchased in sealed 5 litre cans from ourselves at the Colaton Raleigh shop.
