The Eliet Maestro Country Shredder is the big brother of the Maestro City and is also powered by a Briggs and Stratton petrol engine, but this time with 6.5HP
Chipping wood is a demanding task where a lot of power is unleashed inside the machine. A chipper only has a long operating life when no compromises are made in terms of quality and durability of the materials used. All of the ELIET chippers (small and large) are manufactured to the highest degree of craftsmanship. The steel shredding chamber is firmly welded to the tubular frame. The feed hopper of the ELIET Maestro City has also been manufactured from steel.
The double wall construction of the Maestro City serves to keep down the noise, minimising discomfort to both the operator and the neighbours.
Material of up to 40mm can be shredded by the Maestro City, and the fine chippings that the shredder spits out form the basis for what will later be nutritional compost. These chippings are deposited in a larger 80 litre collection bag ( roughly the volume of a garden wheelbarrow) so that not one single chipping is lost. A sight glass in the top of the container allows you to see when it is getting full.
Thanks to its special shredding system, the Eliet Maestro can deal with not only thick branches but also the smaller pruned waste or clippings from hedges and shrubs with no problem. Also leafy-rich green waste from flower borders or vegetable gardens can be mixed in together. Even autumn leaves that have been collected up can be put through the shredder and used to enrich the compost heap.
To ease transport vehicle, the feed-in chute can be completely removed to lower the height. This is done simply with the turn of a hand, no tools are required. or this feature can be handy for storing the machine as compactly as possible in the garage or shed when the work is finished.

The engine of this machine requires SAE10w30 oil. The engine will be filled prior to delivery, but subsequent oil changes will require 0.6 litres of oil. We suggest that a first oil change is carried out at roughly 10 hours use, then on an annual basis. We would also suggest that an annual service is carried out.
The engine is designed to run on standard unleaded fuel, but please be aware that this fuel will go stale very quickly so it is best to use fuel that is less than 60 days old or engine problems can occur. We recommend the use of ASPEN 4 fuel as it will last indefinitely without going stale, so peak performance and starting is always guaranteed. ASPEN 4 is however more expensive than standard petrol and can be purchased in sealed 5 litre cans from ourselves at the Colaton Raleigh shop.
